Deep Thinker’s First Blog
Greetings to All Inquisitive Minds,
I am new to the blogging community, but I am most certainly not new to writing. This opportunity to write for the public appears to be an answer to my prayers. I am regularly told that I possess a knack for putting my spoken words down onto paper. I am constantly chastised by those near to me, since many feel I have a serious problem containing myself once I begin to rant and rave about any subject I feel strongly about. Since others inform me on a regular basis that I have a gift for writing and I talk too much, I feel that blogging may be my long sought-after answer. To enhance and take advantage of my writing abilities and to prevent habitually irritating others, I am beginning this blog, which I have appropriately given this title: Deep Thinker.
It is important to me that I share with you all a little about myself and the topics I will be discussing shortly. I will not make false claims that boast of my divine knowledge, but I have been very bright since a young age. I need to merely take an IQ test before one can officially call me a Mensa. Mathematics is actually my area of expertise, yet I still always managed to excel beyond my classmates in writing skills. I am not yet a college graduate, but I have done much in the time I was not attending school. Some very fulfilling experiences. Others were not very fulfilling experiences. For a lad as young as myself, I have experienced quite a bit. These are the kind of experiences that one can not fully learn of through standard academic procedure. I have walked the paths of many spiritual journeys, spent time learning about myself and indigenous people in Asia, and lived amongst many different types of various exotic people in America, all the while learning through the personal experience of witnessing others’ lifestyles. I would love to share my many experiences and thoughts with everybody who would like to read about them and take something positive away from them. These experiences and thoughts are deep (hence the name of my blog), so be warned that I can only convey so much to my audience through text. But if people are willing to challenge their foundation of thought with a little assistance from my own deep thinking I have jotted down into this blog, then please take the chance and become involved in more than a boring daily routine. Let your inhibitions go and change something about yourself, even if that change is merely a psychological or spiritual alteration that occurs in your mind or consciousness. Now let me address some of the topics I plan to discuss…
I am very eager to share my thoughts and experiences about spirituality and religion (everything from Catholicism to Eastern Mysticism to Taoism and simple open-minded spirituality), American and international politics and politicians, psychology of the individual, varying philosophical perspectives, some of my favorite art forms (especially film and music), controversial American and international law, war and genocide around the world, American foreign policy and our disastrous image abroad, recent medical and scientific advances, drugs/marijuana policy/law and addiction (personal and academic views), assorted current events, alternative medicine and healthy living, agriculture, rock climbing and the many nature crises, alternative lifestyles, poverty and the effects of free-trade agreements, terrorism and what breeds terrorists, climate change and other global concerns, healthy relationships, the limitless power of love, and any other topic that my readers and I agree is pertinent and worth dwelling on. If you have an idea of something that may interest me or my readers, please share the topic along with any thoughts that come to your mind. If it is worth even one minute of contemplation, it deserves to be brought up and discussed. Even with our amazing global communication systems, mankind’s most fatal flaw may be our lack of honest discussion of the vital subjects that pertain to our existence. Please help me deal with the lack of truthful communication by reading my daily blog and by responding with honest feedback and ideas for future discussion topics. I hope you will all enjoy tomorrow’s blog and I am eager to hear what is on everybody’s collective mind.Think independently and always ask questions.
Peace, Love and Health to all,
Deep Thinker
